Hello! I’m Emily…

Some things you should know about me? Hmmm …

Ok, first and foremost, I LOVE my family. We are incredibly close and my relationship with them is so important. It may sound a little old-fashioned, but I talk to my parents and my sister pretty much every day. They offer a wealth of love and support and guidance and I couldn’t do this without them. One more person in that love/support equation
is my boyfriend, Ryan. He’s wonderful … yeah, I’m gonna marry that boy one day (wink wink).

A couple of other things … I studied art at Kansas State University, but studied photography on my own – by doing and learning. I’m very proud of that fact. I am a tad soft-spoken, but once you get me going I love to laugh and have a good time. I’m slightly obsessed with Diet Coke. I have no idea why, but I think I may need to get some help (hehe). I buy magazines just to look at the photos. I love seeing different compositions of light and color and angles. It’s one of the ways that I keep that learning process going.

Lastly, I love being a photographer. I am a big believer that photography is an amazing tool we can use to document those people, places and moments that we want to relive again and again. My goal is to capture your sweetest memories and then show you how to artfully display those memories in your home and tell the story of your life. It’s my gift to you.

Now that you know a little bit about me, I am looking forward to getting to know you too!

Out of the Office

Just an FYI …

I will be out of the office with out phone or email access starting…

Wednesday evening August 25th

through

Monday afternoon August 30th.

I will be returning all emails and phone calls at that time.

SESSION INFO:

If you are looking to book a session – I am now booking into mid-late September and October.

All weekend days through the end of October are full. My first weekend available is the second weekend in November.

CURRENT CLIENT INFO:

Orders will be placed and mailed out just as soon as I return. I wish there were more hours in a day! ;) Thank you a million times over for being so AWESOME!!!!

Hope you all will enjoy the weekend!! I know I am looking forward to the little break!!

This little lady was the cutest little thing! She was SO easy to photograph…. and you can see why. :)

Love my new basket prop too! She fits in it quite well – and it’s a great way to keep the little ones on the move contained!

Can’t wait to see this little one grow! She is adorable!

WOW. I am SOOOOO behind on the blog.

So…. a few days back I posted this cool photo of Adam. I said I would post more and here I am just getting around to it.

Things have been nothing short of CRAZY here! I am officially booking into September and October!

You came here to see photos so…. here ya go! :)

Adam really likes the Twins and so around the new stadium seemed like a natural fit for him!

I was loving these yellow stripes in the parking lot. You can find the greatest spots in the most random places.

We were on the way back to the car and I said, “would you mind sitting right there on the ground?”

Being the cool guy Adam is, he said of course! He humored me for a long time while I was shooting!

Sometimes when I’m seeing light and a location that I love I have a hard time cutting myself off. ha!

Another way to prove to how awesome Adam was – it literally was 95 and HUMID the day of our session and the guy put on a suit!! Looks pretty stellar in it though!

And of course another RANDOM spot….a delivery driveway near the Target Center!

Adam’s Dad owns Nash Frame & Design the only place I recommend for framing your beloved photos. We also used the alley behind their downtown shop for a few shots.

When we walked inside to cool off for a moment I couldn’t help but take his photo in front of the wall of frames. Too obvious? Maybe. Cool photo? I think so!!!

Thanks Adam (and Nancy!) for trekking through the heat and humidity! Hope you love the photos!
